"Grey Eucalyptus" rubbing by artist/sculptor Cameron Kelly. Cameron Kelly is an artist who was in residency during June and July of 2008, at the J B Blunk studio in Inverness ,Ca. Cameron received her M.A. in sculpture at California College of the Arts (CCA) in San Francisco. "Grey Eucalyptus" is done from a direct rubbing of a eucalyptus stump on paper using conte crayon and graphite, mounted to dowels in scroll form.
"My work is an exploration of the qualities inherent in found objects and develops as a self-referential posturing between the object and myself. I use disconcerting juxtapositions to explore desire, attempting to create an experience both personal and social".
