Life size figural sculpture in Ash wood by Frederic Rose. Titled, "Lend Me a Bit of Your Strength", carved from part of a trunk of an Ash tree, with added burls, vine and steel, depicting a man holding a raven over a funnel.The nails found in the figure probably held signs. Fred Rose attended Monterey Peninsula College to study studio art in 1986, and received his B.F.A. in ceramics at California State University, Long Beach in 1992. Frederic went on to receive his M.F.A. in sculpture at California State University, Fullerton. Frederic Rose is a full-time lecturer/chair of the wood program at California State University, in Long Beach.
